The Tale of Emet

I've had this golem character, Illias, for several years now. He's only sort of been revived recently with renewed interest and interaction with Jack and Bri's characters of similar verse, but I thought... why not? He has an interesting tale behind him. So he'll have a few drabbled put up here whenever the muse strikes.

Illias (c)myself. Amir (c)Bri. Golem lore to the ages.

Let me tell you a Story...Collapse )

Because I promised to show pictures of my work... I bring to you... A picture of me working. Yes, yes... I was barefoot in the studio to compare ankle and foot structure. Good thing I'm bendy, or that would have been tricky.

A Poem for Gabe, in my eyes.

by: Sara Teasdale (1884-1933)

When I am dead and over me bright April
      Shakes out her rain-drenched hair,
Tho' you should lean above me broken-hearted,
      I shall not care.
I shall have peace, as leafy trees are peaceful
When rain bends down the bough,
And I shall be more silent and cold-hearted
      Than you are now.
I love too much; I am a river
Surging with spring that seeks the sea,
I am too generous a giver,
Love will not stoop to drink of me.
His feet will turn to desert places
Shadowless, reft of rain and dew,
Where stars stare down with sharpened faces
      From heavens pitilessly blue.
And there at midnight sick with faring,
He will stoop down in his desire
To slake the thirst grown past all bearing
In stagnant water keen as fire.

Cue Generic First Post Title.
My, my...

It seems I've acquired yet another internet journal/site of socialization. This is mostly due to the abandonment of my past LJ and Xanga where paths have parted and life has moved on to greener pastures.

Cogs turn, all that.

So then. HOPEFULLY I can recollect a few musings here and there, and rant my fandoms.

As long as I remember this.
